Don Quixote, Which Was a Dream

In 2004 I read a novel by Kathy Acker, “Don Quixote, Which Was a Dream.” I was really transported by the story and the raw and fearless writing. I told Charles I wish I could find a woman who wrote for theatre this way. And he said to me why don’t you adapt it for the stage. So we asked for permission and I did. This is a very much a female play, bold and sexual, and the gender politics are as relevant today as they were then, if not more so. I will hope you will enjoy it. We all did, creating it.
