Join us for an afternoon of popular song, musical hits, and personal stories performed by Ruth Flinkman Marandy as she takes us on a musical journey from the Bronx of her childhood to the Los Angeles of today.
All proceeds go to support the work of award-winning Santa Monica theatre company City Garage. Complimentary beverages and light refreshments will be served.

About Ruth Flinkman-Marandy
Born and raised in the Bronx, New York, Ruth attended Christopher
Columbus High School and the State University of New York in
Brooklyn, majoring in legal assisting. She was a child performer
from the age of 5 through her teens, singing and dancing, performing
first with a children’s troupe entertaining war veterans, at weddings
and bar mitzvahs and on radio and TV. She still performs at times for
social events and has been a member of the Songbirds singing group.
She performed locally in the Productions of “Cabaret and” “Dames
at Sea.” Ruth and her late husband, Stan, were married for 49 years
and together raised four beautiful and brilliant children, Lewis, Linda,
Michael, Russell and daughter-in-law, Leah. Ruth has three equally
beautiful and brilliant grandchildren, Arielle, Hannah, Noah and granddaughter-
in-law, Elkie.
She is now married to Ben Marandy and they will be celebrating nine
years of marriage in December. She has inherited Ben’s three beautiful
and brilliant children, Lisa, Mona, Amir and daughter-in-law, Melanie.
They now have twin granddaughters, Emma and Olivia. Ruth is
president of Flinkman Management, Inc., a family-owned real estate
management company in Santa Monica. She is a member of the local
and national boards of Hebrew University, the Technion, and Ben
Gurion University, as well as a member of the boards of governors.
Ruth and Ben support the Israeli Air Force Center Foundation,
American Friends of Magen David Adom, Hadassah Hospital and
Sheba Medical Center. Locally, she is a member of Leora Hadassah,
Club 100, Centre Theatre Group Affiliates, the Associates of the
Jewish home for the Aging, Theatre 40, and the Board of Governors
of Cedars Sinai Medical Center. She is a board member of Beverly
Hills Theatre Guild and she and Ben are board members of West Coast
Jewish Theatre. They are Members of Malibu Jewish Center and
Synagogue, Creative Directors Circle of the Center Theatre Group and
the Music Center.
Ruth has received an honorary doctorate from Ben Gurion University
of the Negev and Hebrew University of Jerusalem, As well as
honorary fellowships from the Technion and Hebrew University.
